Stick Cassia

Stick cassia is a spice obtained from the bark of the Cinnamomum cassia tree, known for its distinctive, robust flavor and aroma. The bark is dried and rolled into sticks or quills, which are used to infuse dishes with a warm, spicy, and slightly sweet taste. Cassia sticks are commonly used in cooking to flavor soups, stews, curries, and rice dishes, particularly in Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. Unlike Ceylon cinnamon, cassia has a more intense and less sweet profile. Besides culinary uses, cassia sticks offer health benefits, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and are used in traditional medicine for digestive and respiratory support.
